Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations [help the people to learn of Me, believe in Me, and obey My words], baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always [remaining with you perpetually–regardless of circumstance, and on every occasion], even to the end of the age.” MATTHEW 28:19‭-‬20 AMP

Whom are you serving? Get to know the real Jesus!

We are racing towards the end of the year, towards Christmas and the end of 2019. For many people, including Christians, Christmas is the high-light of the year. The whole world is looking forward to Christmas. The day when gifts are exchanged and many families get together for the Christmas meal or braai.

But, is this all that we have to look forward to? Eating and drinking and being merry? Is that what Christmas has been reduced to?

Let`s look closer at what Christmas is all about for the followers of Jesus… For this we have to start at the beginning, the birth of Christ. The birth of Jesus has been foretold throughout the whole Bible. Even in Genesis 3:15, just after the fall of man, we read that the first reference to Jesus is made in that there will be “enmity between you (the serpent) and the woman, and between your seed (offspring) and her Seed: He (Jesus) shall bruise your (Satan) head, and you shall only bruise His heal.” This was the first prediction that in future, there will come a Savoir to destroy serpent and his offspring. This was the first of many to follow in the Old Testament…

Let’s move on to the New Testament. It was foretold that Jesus was on His way to be born in Luke 1:26-38. In Luke 2:6-7 we read about the birth of Jesus. Our Savior was born! But to many this is where the Christmas story stops. All they see and hear is that Christ was born. For many years I was in the same boat. Clinging to the birth of Jesus without realizing that this was not the “real” Jesus we are supposed to worship and believe in…

To fully understand who Jesus was and what He did for us we have to read the whole of Luke. There are 24 chapters, not only three. We have to fully read and understand the whole of Luke to known that Jesus was the Son of God (Luke 3:22), that Jesus was tempted by the Devil, Jesus ministered in public, He healed the sick and the demon possessed, He chose and trained His disciples, He told many parables and taught the many, He calmed the sea, He fed the multitudes, He sent out the 72 disciples to minister, He taught us to pray, He was challenged, hated and scarfed at by the religious leaders of the time, He told us and showed us who the Father is, He called us to repent, He taught us right from wrong, He gave us instructions as to how we should live to please God, He foretold of His second coming, He entered triumphantly into Jerusalem, He drove the traders from the Temple, He told us that we would be resurrected from the dead, He told us of the things that is yet to come, He told us that He would return, He foretold of His own crucifixion and resurrection, He suffered in our stead, He was betrayed, He was denied by His disciples, He was falsely accused, He was mocked, He was beaten, He was spit on, He was forced to carry His own cross, He died on the cross, He was buried, He was resurrected, He appeared to many after His resurrection, He ascended into heaven to sit at the right hand of the Father!

That is the Jesus we should believe in. the One that came to do all these things, to suffer all these things, to die and to be resurrected so that we can be made holy before God, acceptable to God so that we can spend eternity in His presence! The “right” Jesus!

So, I want to challenge you. As from the 1st of December, read one chapter of Luke each day, just one chapter. Think about that chapter. Meditate on that chapter. Get to know the real Jesus. Get to know who Jesus is, what He did for you and me!

I hope that you will take me up on the challenge and spend some time with God in His Word. So that on Christmas day, you will remember who you are celebrating. That you will celebrate our Lord and Savior.

Have a great festive season. Spent time with your loved ones and tell them about the real Jesus, who He is and what He did for all of us.

(no title)

It sure seems like Jesus was having a bad day when he marched down to cause mayhem in Jerusalem by turning tables in the temple, blasting a fig tree along the way. Was he just in a foul mood? Did he get up on the wrong side of the bed? Why curse a tree? What was going on there?

It’s easy to miss it, but I think we are given a clue in one particular verse as to what was Jesus’ intentions were, and what led up to those events. We can discover that far from being random or impulsive, every word and deed of Jesus was delivered with precision and intent.

What was the context?
So here’s what happened according to Mark. Jesus had three times now explained to his disciples that he would suffer, die and rise again on the third day. The first time, Peter rebuked him, but Jesus was having none of it. The second time, they just didn’t understand and were too afraid to say anything. The third time came as Jesus went ahead of them, leading the way to Jerusalem and certain death. They couldn’t believe it. “And they were on the road, going up to Jerusalem, and Jesus was walking ahead of them. And they were amazed, and those who followed were afraid”.

“What is he doing?” They must have been thinking, because for them and (let’s face it) for most of us, if there’s a chance to escape crucifixion, we’ll take it. But not Jesus. He reinforced with certainty the plan: “Look, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be delivered over to the chief priests and the scribes, and they will condemn him to death and deliver him over to the Gentiles. And they will mock him and spit on him, and flog him and kill him. And after three days he will rise.”

This is not a man who is not prepared for what’s coming. He sees it, he is ready for it, and he shows no fear. He has made up his mind, and is resolute. John 13 lets us in on his secret – “Knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he had come from God and was going back to God…” Jesus knew for sure that this would ultimately turn out very well. He knew it was all in hand, and that he would end up safe at the Father’s right hand – not only delivered from evil and death, but sitting in victory over it.

This is the context of what happens next. So in Mark chapter 11, Jesus and his gang make their way to God’s chosen city, and holy temple. At this point, he is well received, and is warmly welcomed by the people to cries of “Hosanna!, Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!”

Then comes the critical verse:

“Jesus went into Jerusalem and into the temple. So when he had looked around at all things,
as the hour was already late, he went out to Bethany with the twelve.” (Mark 11:11)

He went to the temple and “looked around at things”? Hey? A few times we read of Jesus looking around, often at people, but here he is looking at “things”. All of them. What things?
Then they went to Bethany and went to bed. Jesus had taken in what he had seen, and slept on it.

Jesus displays his anger
It was the next morning that it all kicked off. They were walking back into Jerusalem from Bethany, and Jesus was hungry. “Seeing in the distance a fig tree in leaf, he went to see if he could find anything on it. When he came to it, he found nothing but leaves, for it was not the season for figs. And he said to it, “May no one ever eat fruit from you again.” And his disciples heard it.”

Then they got to Jerusalem. And it all gets a bit hectic.

“He entered the temple and began to drive out those who sold and those who bought in the temple, and he overturned the tables of the money-changers and the seats of those who sold pigeons. And he would not allow anyone to carry anything through the temple. And he was teaching them and saying to them, “Is it not written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer for all the nations’? But you have made it a den of robbers.” And the chief priests and the scribes heard it.”

We can clearly see that Jesus is a man who knows what is going to happen. He has predicted his death and resurrection three times.

We know that he regularly prayed during the night, or when it was still dark, and that he was not the kind of guy to skip on quality time with God.

He assures us that he only does things that he sees his Father doing.

He is unafraid of people or death, and unswayed by man’s applause.

After the Triumphal Entry, Jesus had gone into the temple and seen all the commercialism and defilement of the temple the day before. He just looked. He saw all the stuff, all the things there. He did not say a word, much less take any impulsive action. He absorbed the information and went to bed. He almost certainly talked it over thoroughly with his Father.

Then the day broke.

Figs as a picture of Israel
First, the fig tree incident. The fig in several places is analogous to Israel – consider Nathaniel sitting under a fig tree, and Jesus calling him “a true son of Israel”. God also used figs as a metaphor for the people of Israel and their spiritual state in the book of Jeremiah: “God showed me two baskets of figs placed in front of the Temple of God… In one basket the figs were of the finest quality, ripe and ready to eat. In the other basket the figs were rotten, so rotten they couldn’t be eaten… “This is the Message from the God of Israel: The exiles from here that I’ve sent off to the land of the Babylonians are like the good figs, and I’ll make sure they get good treatment. I’ll keep my eye on them so that their lives are good, and I’ll bring them back to this land. I’ll build them up, not tear them down; I’ll plant them, not uproot them. And I’ll give them a heart to know me, God. They’ll be my people and I’ll be their God, for they’ll have returned to me with all their hearts.” (Jer 24:1-7)
So here was a tree all leafy and looking to be full of promise, but with no fruit. Usually the fruit comes even before the leaves, so plentiful leaves should normally indicate the presence of fruit, even though it was rather early in the year to find any.

Charles Spurgeon said that, “The blighted fig tree was a singularly apt simile of the Jewish state. The nation had promised great things to God. When all the other nations were like trees without leaves, making no profession of allegiance to the true God, the Jewish nation was covered with the leafage of abundant religious profession… Their constant cry was, “The temple of the Lord, The temple of the Lord, The temple of the Lord, are these”… They were a fig tree in full leaf. But there was no fruit upon them; for the people were neither holy, nor just, nor true, nor faithful towards God, nor loving to their neighbour. [They were] a mass of glittering profession, unsupported by spiritual life.”

The tree was a picture of the religious leadership and what the temple system had descended into. All leaves and no fruit. No sustenance for the spiritually hungry.

Just like John the Baptist warned the Pharisees and scribes who came to him in false repentance, “Do not presume to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father,’ for I tell you, God is able from these stones to raise up children for Abraham. Even now the axe is laid to the root of the trees. Every tree therefore that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.” (Matthew 3:9-10)

Jesus had come to do a new thing. The fruitless tree was about to be destroyed – the temple would be brought to rubble and Israel would be scattered. Jesus promised to destroy it and raise it again in three days – God was going to make his home in the very lives of his people, thanks to the cleansing power of our Messiah’s blood to make us holy. Holy enough to host the Shekinah Glory.

It was in this understanding that Jesus cursed the fig tree and then turned things upside down in the temple.

Jesus thought it through with his Father, and his actions were planned
I once found myself in a tiny, empty Catholic chapel in the middle of some Mediterranean nowheresville, full of statues of dead people with money boxes at their feet. My stomach churned and my head got hot – all I wanted to do was smash the idols and all that they represented! What a horrendous perversion of prayer! I considered it for a second or two, imagining myself trying to explain my actions to provincial French policemen, and thought better of it.

Jesus had all night to contemplate and pray into the ramifications of going ballistic in the temple. He would also know for sure that there would be questions asked, and that answers would be required. But as we have said, this was no spur of the moment decision, and he was ready with an excellent response.

They demanded, “By what authority are you doing these things, or who gave you this authority to do them?” Jesus responded, “I will ask you one question; answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things. Was the baptism of John from heaven or from man? Answer me.” That scuppered them. Jesus had them either way. “If we say, ‘From heaven,’” they reasoned, “he will say, ‘Why then did you not believe him?’ But shall we say, ‘From man’?”—they were afraid of the people, for they all held that John really was a prophet. So they answered Jesus, “We do not know.” And Jesus said to them, “Neither will I tell you by what authority I do these things.”

He had every authority to do what he did. “The first Adam came to the fig tree for leaves, but the Second Adam looks for figs”, notes Spurgeon. Jesus always knows exactly what he is doing, and he is slow to anger – always merciful and longsuffering. He never once lost control of his temper. Far from displaying unbridled wrath, he courageously defied the authorities under the authority of God, and provided us all with an escape from wrath as he continued on towards Calvary.

About the two roads and the choice we have to make…

The Old Testament is among other things, a history of the creation of the heavens and earth and the creation of the Jewish people and nations. As does the history of other nations it contains the violence of the times and the causes of the violence. When you understand the Heart of God, you can learn from this, the cure for this violence. We also can see that while the devil is around, he, the devil, goes about like a roaring lion, seeking who he may devour.

The devil promotes violence and destruction and he wants to keep you from the Heart of God to your own destruction. Jesus came as the perfect “Lamb of God”, to destroy the works of the devil and reconcile you unto God. While the devil is darkness, destruction and deceit, God is love, righteousness, truth and compassion.

God is full of mercy and will forgive us, if we come to Him through His Son, Jesus the Christ.

There are two roads in this world, one is wide to destruction, the road the devil wants to keep you on.

The other is narrow and not seen by many, but it leads to the Heart of God. This is the ultimate purpose of the Bible, to show us the way to the narrow road of salvation, to the Heart of God. God provided the way, but He gives us the choice to follow Him, through Jesus in and to Eternal Life or to continue on the road of and to eternal destruction, following the devil.

For Eternal Life, a new heart is required. We must be “born again”. We must be born again into the Heart of Jesus Christ. We are by sin, already on the path to eternal destruction, so we must choose to follow Jesus into Life everlasting. When we leave this world, if we are Christ’s, we will go to be with Him in heaven, there will no longer be evil, corruption, hate, deceit, wars or unrighteousness in heaven. There will only be the Heart of God, righteousness, truth and love.

The works of the devil are obvious and the works of God are also obvious.

We must make our choice, Heaven or Hell, choose you this day whom you will serve, as for me and my house we will serve the Lord. Joshua said it best, Joshua 24:15 KJV “And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” The choice is and always has been your choice.

The normalization of satanism and witchcraft is now nearly complete

(Natural News) The Goal Of Hollywood And The Entire Entertainment Industry Is To Normalize Satanism And That Mission Is Now Nearly Complete

(Article by Jon Watkins republished from ExposingSatanism.org)

People, we are losing this battle, and maybe from a Biblical point of view these things cannot be stopped. But what can be stopped is you and I being a part of it. After you watch these videos, you will see how pervasive Satanism in America truly is, and shockingly, you will see how perhaps you have been a part of it because it is just so deeply ingrained in our culture by this point.

NTEB – These videos will show you that America is firmly in the grip of the occult and satanism to a degree that you never thought possible. And it gets worse every day.

In 1988, I left my parent’s home in New Jersey and headed west to California. In A very short period of time I found work as an actor, became a stand-in and double for then-stars like Richard Gere and Matt Dillon, acting in dozens of commercials and enjoyed small roles on many of the popular shows of the day. I was a card-carrying member of SAG and AFTRA for 18 years. From what I personally saw during the 6 years I was actively involved, before the Lord called me out of it in 1994, it was not an overly wholesome place. Many crazy things were done behind closed doors. But in 2019, not only are those things now done openly, you can also see that Hollywood, the music industry, and even formerly family friendly companies like Disney are working to normalize the occult in general and satanism in particular.

“…but this is your hour, and the power of darkness.” Luke 22:53 (KJV)

Never before has the influence of mass culture and the media been so predominant or so powerful. 24 hours per day, we are bombarded by ads, videos, sound bytes, music, billboards, with our every move being tracked on our mobile phones. People are shocked to find that after they had a conversation in the living room with a friend about buying a new Chevy, the next time they use their computer or mobile device, there’s an ad for the exact car they were just discussing. How can this be? Simple, your phones are listening to you, even when turned off, and ads are sent to you based on what you were talking about. It happens to me multiple times per week.

“For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?” Mark 8:36 (KJV)

This article is not going to contain a lot of words, because words will not be nearly as effective as the videos you are about to see. And after you watch them, if you can watch them all the way through, you will no longer be under the illusion of America being a “godly nation” or about Americans being “one people under God” because we are not under God. These videos will show you that America is firmly in the grip of the occult and satanism to a degree that you never thought possible. And it gets worse every day.

“And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.” 1 John 5:19 (KJV)

Nearly every Hollywood and music superstar now claims association with the Illuminati, Freemasonry, OTO or the Church of Satan. They flash occult signs and symbols in all their music videos, and we the same in nearly all films and movies. But it is useless for me to spend overly many words telling you when I can show you.

“Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:” Ephesians 2:2 (KJV)

GRAPHIC WARNING: The images you will see in these videos are beyond disturbing, and the language at times equally so. Please pray before watching any of them. I would say to not let your children watch them, but guess what? They have probably been seeing them for years as well as buying their occult-themed music. Jay-Z just became a billionaire because millions and millions of people buy his music. People like your kids, people like you maybe, too.

“And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.” Revelation 12:9 (KJV)

In case you have been wondering…

Students and dean of the IFIL West Rand Campus – 2019.

Just in case you have been wondering, let me take a few minutes to tell you!

Our regular readers and followers on our website might have noticed that we have been a little bit, well, actually more than a little bit, less active and involved on the biking scene and other social events over the past couple of months. You can relax! We are not cross with you guys or anything like that! Promise!

Let me explain… At the beginning of the year I decided to do Bible School again. Since then Bokkie has also decided to join in and has since also started! Now, I must be honest, it is a fairly big, extra, load of work involved. For starters, we must attend classes every Tuesday. In addition to that there are also several workpieces, tasks and the like that we must hand in at the end of each module / chapter. It keeps us quite busy…

We are currently doing an IFIL Course that is being presented at the CFCI West Rand in the Krugersdorp area. We also regularly attend the service as a “second helping” on Sundays…

The advantage is that we get to ride most of the Tuesdays evenings! As you can imagine this can be very interesting! As you know the weather is fairly “deurmekaar” lately… We have had evening where is was very hot and almost humid, and some evening where it was cooler, and the even one evening where it was outright COLD! Very COLD!

But we don’t complain. This way we get to do the things we get to love! We get to study the Word of God, we get to serve God better, we get to become better Christians, we get to become better servants in God`s Army, we get to learn to be more effective servants… And, as a bonus, we get to ride! What a blessing!

So, don’t think that we have disappeared of the biking scene! We just to have to better manage our time and change our priorities in order to ensure that we get to devote our time to getting to achieve our goals and to give our best to God by giving our best in Bible School…

The “secret” is out…

The Machine Gun Preacher

Sam Childers – the Machine Gun Preacher!

Some of you might have heard of the man called “The Machine Gun Preacher”. He is also known as Sam Childers. A missionary with a difference. He is not afraid to get his hands dirty…or even to do the dirty work! But let me start from the beginning…

I while back I came across the Facebook page of the Machine Gun Preacher. He tickled my fancy and I started following him and his doings in Africa. I became quite a fan of him…

Let’s fast forward a bit to last month. Once again on Facebook I saw that Sam was coming to South Africa for a short tour. I know that he was here last year or the year before as well, but this time I was not going to miss him again. So, when I saw that he was being hosted by the Central Bikers Church in Germiston it was like that! We were going to see the man!

Joker and Pippy, members of the Wolf Clan MCC and also supporters of God`s Army Ministries at the event on the day…

On Saturday, 19 October 2019 the day arrived. The Clan met up and we all set off to the Central Bikers Church. The ride there was very enjoyable, and I could not help but to wander what to expect.

We arrived at the venue just before 11:00. The event was to start at 12:00 but there were already quite a few people! I immediately realize that the venue was going to be packed!

Got the opportunity to meet the man himself…

We got to meet and greet with the man! What a wonderful, humble man. He mingled with all present and there was no “air” or anything like that. he was just another man of God on a mission.

The event started some time later. When he was handed the mike, he first gave us background and info on the projects him and his organization was busy with in East Africa. I was quite insightful to say the least. He was really making a different in several lives of the children in Africa…

He also called us out… Yes, he called all Christians out. He pointed out that just sitting in a church is just not good enough! It was time to step up to the plate. This was later revisited in his message…

Then there were a “question and answer session” where Sam answered any questions that the attendees wanted to ask him. One of the things I respect nd admire about him was that he was asking people to as him anything, specifically with regard to donations and how the donations were used. Now, that was refreshing!

Then he gave us his testimony. It was not the same as the movie “Machine Gun Preacher” based on his live! He was not scared to tell us about all the wrong and bad things that he did in his past. Absolutely great stuff!

Then we received some word from him as well. It boiled down t this: you can not be a Christian, or even claim to be a Christian, unless you do something to help someone! There are a lot of people in the word that is less fortunate that what we are. We can not live in luxury and splendor and feel chuffed with ourselves while others are suffering and are in need. We must assist and help where and how we can. We should be willing to sacrifice in order to help others. Wow! What a great message…

After having prayed for those present the event came to an end. What a great event it was. My word of advice, if you ever get a chance to see and listen to the man, don’t let the opportunity pass! He has an inspiring story and testimony that can only positively influence any Christian that is serious about making a difference in the lives of others.
